We support, troubleshoot, and maintain Steinhardt information systems for faculty, staff, and researchers. These systems provide an infrastructure and includes, but is not limited to, NYU Active Directory, data storage, server hosting, and workflows.

Accessing PhishAlarm

To report an suspicious email please use the following instructions:

  • Open the suspicious email within your NYU Email (either the web version or Gmail app) and select the PhishAlarm button, which looks like an envelope hanging on a fishing hook.

  • The web version of NYU Email: The PhishAlarm button is located in the right-hand panel. If this panel is hidden, toggle the small arrow button at the bottom right corner from "<" to ">" to reveal it.
  • In the Gmail app: The PhishAlarm button appears at the bottom of the screen.

Report the Suspicious Email:

  • On the “Report Phish?” screen, select Report Phish.

Confirm Send:

  • When prompted, select Report Phish again to send the suspicious email to NYU IT for analysis.

Confirm Successful Submission:

  • A confirmation screen with a thank you message will appear after successful submission.
